At Florida Fish and Kayak, we are a small, family-run business with a passion for the outdoors. Our history of growing up on the water has instilled in us a love for exploring our state’s natural landscapes. Our kayaking tours are designed to show you the hidden gems of Florida, where you will encounter amazing wildlife and water ways in incredible places. We take pride in our grass roots approach and believe that every tour should be a unique experience.
We want you to have the best time paddling so we have invested our time and resources in providing you with top of the line kayaks from Crescent Kayak. We want you to love Kayaking and Paddle Boarding as much as we do so we are committed to making sure that you paddle the right water craft and are comfortable and safe.

Meet Our Guides
We know that the safety of you and your family is of the utmost importance. That's why we make sure to always put your safety first during all of our tours. Our team is certified in First Aid and CPR, and we are skilled and trained in kayak maneuvers to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all. We never want to put you in danger, so you can relax and enjoy the scenery while we handle the logistics. All of our guides carry the proper tools and equipment to face any situation that may arise.
Captain Nate Sims
Founder and owner of Florida Fish and Kayak, Captain Nate Sims has been a life long outdoor enthusiast, kayaker, and fly fisherman. His passion for the water has translated into his work and helping others encounter the extraordinary wonders of nature and wildlife around us. Captain Nate has worked in photography, video, and media over the last 20 years, traveling to over 40 countries, and filming for companies such as Bass Pro Shops, Yamaha Motors, B.A.S.S. and more. During this time he became a certified e Coast Guard Captain and established Florida Fish and Kayak taking his love to bring people and nature together one step farther. With more than years of experience on Florida's waterways, Captain Nate is dedicated to providing you with a safe and unforgettable adventure. He's an expert in all things kayaking, fishing, and Florida, and he can't wait for you to join him on the next big adventure!
Ethan Sims
We believe that kayaking is one of the best ways to learn about wildlife while enjoying Florida's natural beauty. As an avid kayaker at heart, Ethan brings years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to each tour. He has traveled the country kayaking rivers, hiking, and wilderness camping but finds Florida to be the best place to experience wildlife and nature up close. Ethan also has over a decade of experience working with kids and strives make sure every tour is fun, engaging and educational. He is a craftsman and a connoisseur of coffee starting his own roasting business in 2022. Ethan will be sure to have a hot brew ready for you after watching the sun rise or sunset on Floridas beautiful water ways !
Andrew Planeta
Andrew is a true Florida man who loves to paddle and spend time in the outdoors. Andrew grew up exploring the beautiful Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon, and has a passion for sharing his knowledge about Florida's amazing nature and wildlife with others. As a father of two amazing boys, Andrew understands the importance of creating lifelong memories and experiences with loved ones. He invites you to join him and his team and kayak Florida's breathtaking waterways!

Our tours are designed to expose you to the hidden treasures of Florida, from its stunning coastline to its rich marine life. We don't compromise on safety, as each participant is provided with a Coast Guard Approved Life Vest, whistle, and flashlight (if needed) at the start of the tour. For our bioluminescence tours each craft will have one 360 white light to meet coast guard rating. Our kayaks are designed to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.
Payment is due at the time of scheduling via Credit Card.

- You will not be charged for trips canceled by Florida Fish and Kayak.

- You must cancel your trip 48 hours prior to booking by phone.

- You will be charged for the full of amount of participants booked in the event of no show.

- We will not launch in inclement or threatening weather.
- We reserve the right to change or cancel any tours due to circumstances beyond our control. We will refund the tour price, not any other expenses that may have been incurred.

At Florida Fish and Kayak, we offer an amazing experience for those who love nature and adventure. We take pride in providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests, which means that we do not permit alcohol or illegal substances on our tours. We reserve the right to refuse service to any person that do not follow this policy. Our kayaking tours are suitable for individuals, families, and groups, and we welcome adventurers from age 5 and up. Children under the age of 7 must wear a life jacket at all times. We cannot guarantee sightings of wildlife or nature, but we can guarantee we will work hard to bring you an unforgettable experience that you'll want to relive again and again.
